    In an increasingly globalized and multipolar world, higher education institutions in ASEAN are faced with the challenges to keep up with the changes as well as transcending beyond the limitations of its former constraints. Ensuring excellent paradigms of teaching and learning, well-equipped to tackle the trials and tribulation of this era must be at the heart of quality assurance.

    The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance, referred to as AUN-QA herewith, has been a strong force in spearheading Quality Assurance in ASEAN higher education for over 20 years. The AUN-QA fosters and firmly enforces the true practices of continuous improvement through external exposure and internal self-reflection–values critical to the excellence of universities in the 21st century. The AUN and AUN-QA strive for excellence and no less. While adapting to the conditions of post-pandemic, we have emerged more tenacious and stronger than ever through our specific focus areas.

    The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance International Conference (AUN-QA IC) is the premier conference in the field of quality assurance in higher education within the ASEAN region with the aims to enhance the promotion and dissemination of the high quality development practices of quality assurance in higher education and also to facilitate new developments in quality assurance. The conference aims to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among the region and beyond, guided by the principles of sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith and with a commitment to the greater good and shared interests. Thus, the theme of this year’s International Conference is “Driving University Excellence Through Quality: Strategies, Systems, Structures, and QA in the Context of Post-Pandemic Regional and Global Cooperation”.

    The two-day program consists of various keynote speakers from across the globe and insightful dialogue sessions to induce truly internationalized and valuable initiatives for the betterment of quality assurance in the ASEAN region and beyond.

Remaining principled to the mission of providing high quality education is critical to the advancement of our region and the shared future of the world. Through rigorous contemplation and ceaseless improvement, we must draw upon the capacity of networks and talents across our region to ensure the success of ASEAN higher education institutions of this era.

    The AUN-QA Assessors’ General Assembly is a platform for the gathering of official AUN-QA assessors to meet, discuss and share information and good practices for future AUN-QA operations. The assembly aims to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among the region, guided by the principles of sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith and with a commitment to the greater good and shared interests. Together, we aim to put forward and apply new development philosophy, promote high-quality development, and foster a new paradigm of teaching and learning to best benefit the learners.

    The half-day program is an intensive and thorough, open dialogue platform aimed for optimum interaction among the assessors and experts. Through the four-hour long assembly, participants are effectively triggered to enhance their views of professionalism in quality assurance and enhancement, they will be urged to unpack previous impressions and turning key results into cases based upon reality, facts, and experiences they have encountered, and finally, encouraged to present their cases with the best judgements through the AUN-QA’s comprehensive, all-inclusive principles.

Remaining principled to the mission of providing high quality education while drawing upon the capacity of networks and talents across the region is the heart of quality assurance.

    The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) has been a strong force in spearheading Quality Assurance in ASEAN higher education for over 20 years.     The AUN-QA Chief Quality Officers’ Meeting (referred to as CQO herewith) exists as a platform to update and discuss the relevance and dynamics of AUN-QA Systems and Mechanisms, and issues arose during the AUN-QA Operations that needed to be tackled to better facilitate the AUN-QA activities in the years to come. The meeting aims to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among the region, guided by the principles of sincerity, real results, affinity, and good faith and with a commitment to the greater good and shared interests. Together, we aim to put forward and apply new development philosophy, promote high-quality development, and foster a new paradigm of teaching and learning to best benefit the learners.

    The one-day program is held to report key results of AUN-QA and to fundamentally acknowledge the direction for future avenues including appointments of key members, AUN-QA Strategic Plan, AUN-QA Guide, Report of AUN-QA Council Member, AUN-QA Progress Report, and more.
